People use "party boat" and "yacht" as if they mean the same thing, and most Dubai booking sites do nothing to clear it up. They are genuinely different vessels, and picking the wrong one is the most common booking mistake we see.

What actually makes a party boat different
It is not the size. It is how the space inside that size is used.
Open deck instead of cabins. A yacht dedicates a lot of its length to bedrooms, saloons and interior finish. A party boat gives that space back as open deck.
Higher guest capacity. Fewer fixed interior walls means more people can be aboard safely and comfortably.
Built for standing, not sitting. Yacht seating is arranged for lounging. Party boat layouts assume people will be up, moving and dancing.
Sound system as a priority. On a party boat it is a core feature rather than an add-on.
Lower cost per guest. More people across the same hourly rate means the per-head figure drops sharply.
What a yacht gives you instead is finish. Better interiors, air-conditioned lounges, proper cabins, and a more premium feel on arrival and in photographs.

The party boat costs AED 200 more per hour but carries seventeen more people. Filled to capacity, it works out cheaper per guest. That is the trade in a single line: pay more for the vessel, pay less per person, give up some interior comfort.

The cheapest per guest is the 70ft Party Boat at roughly AED 60 for three hours — provided you fill it. That is the whole logic of a party boat.
Capacity headroom: the mistake almost everyone makes
Maximum capacity is a safety limit, not a comfort recommendation.
A vessel rated for 50 guests holds 50 guests. It does not hold 50 guests plus a DJ booth, a buffet table, a cake table and a photographer moving around freely. Once you add setup, the usable space drops considerably.
A practical rule: if you are adding catering, a DJ or decoration, book for about 20 percent more guests than you actually have. A party of 40 with a full setup is more comfortable on a 50-capacity vessel than on a 40-capacity one.
The other half of the same mistake is going too large. A 100-capacity yacht booked for 25 people costs the same as it does for 100 — so your cost per head triples and the deck feels empty rather than lively. Matching the vessel to the group is what makes a party feel full.
